Toffee Nut Bars

INGREDIENTS
Crust
  • 1/4 cup Shortening
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup flour
Filling
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Moist Shredded Coconut
  • 1 cup Pecans or other nuts, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
Crust
  1. Mix together and press in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Filling
  1. Mix together topping ingredients. Spread onto baked bottom layer and bake another 15 minutes until topping is golden brown. Cool slightly; cut into bars.
